Why Empowering Women Matters to Me
Born and raised in Germany I had never quite fit in. I couldn’t believe that what is, is all there is. That’s why I created a fantasy world in my head that I lived in most of my upbringing. I knew I wanted to leave my home and country as soon as possible to see the world and make my own dreams come true.
My favourite book and story character was Pippi Langstrumpf. Looking back that is no surprise at all. Even though she is a child, she is a self-made woman and lives life on her own terms. She defines success in her own way and that is what I am here for.
I spent my youth in the theatre developing many artistic skills that now come in handy when creating new projects. Yes, projects are my favourite. Working to realize a vision that does not exist yet, bringing all of my lived experience into how it will and could look like, and supporting gameworlds to distill what they are really about fuel my creative force.
I am here to support other women to find what they are here for and build their world on their terms. Even though you don't know how life would look on your terms, because nobody has done it like you before, it is possible to create this. Yes, you can create and live the life that you want.
Humans have a long history on Earth, and while there have been periods supporting women’s empowerment, we are far from a point to lean back and relax into the state of women’s rights today. It is crucial that we keep working and make the patterns visible that are still keeping women small and without a voice. It starts with raising your daughters, it starts with what we teach young women without even noticing because it is so deep in our unconsciousness. Just because that’s how its always been done, doesn’t mean there are no consequences of those patterns, and they need to be addressed.
I am passionate about education and how we raise our children. I have worked as a nursery nurse, family coach and teacher. All of these jobs did not satisfy me as they do not change the patterns that bring trouble to families in the first place. Now I created my own program for families to break their patterns and learn how to become more healthy, relaxed and without pressure in their relational constellation at home. It is possible to live life without stress and pressure, we just need the right tools in order to do so. We need to understand what brings us into the pressure in the first place and how we can make our way to something else.
Why is this so important to me?
Because many of those patterns have shaped my life — I grew up thinking that if someone treats me wrong that is because I am wrong and deserve to be treated that way. “Of course it is okay for someone to take away love from me as I obviously didn’t deserve it in the first place.” Over many years of my life I blamed my physical body for the lack of love and acceptance. I thought, “Oh, of course I am not attractive enough. I must be the ugliest woman alive.” And it had consequences. I punished my body so much until I became really sick that I needed to stop my work with women, men and families in order to heal.
In those years of sickness I learned how to align my bodies, how to stop hating my body and heal from a serious eating disorder. I had to learn many things I didn’t know before in order to get healthy. I have learned how to stand on my own two feet and stand strong while the storm of chaos is raging around me. I was forced to learn how to live without creating constant stress and pressure in my life. Pressure and stress are treated as the norm, and yet are deeply poisonous for our existence and health.
I learned how to handle intense, chronic, physical pain and how to stay in connection with love despite my circumstances. Two and half years with constant pain and losing my ability to walk, read, and cook shaped me strongly. I used the lessons of this time to expand my heart and become more present in as many moments in my life as possible.
Now, I want to support you to do the same. No matter if it is ending an eating disorder, living with chronic physical pain, becoming a woman who asks for what she wants and takes up space, bringing consciousness to your parenting, building up your own business, or creating life on your terms — I am on your team.
Why do you matter so much to me? Because think about this: imagine a world in which humans follow their hearts’ desires, and create from this place. They take responsibility for their actions because they have learned that there is no such a thing as good or bad. There are only consequences. Imagine how much peace and little violence there would be. Violence, disordered eating and self-destruction were in my life for so many years until I learned how to stop those cycles of abuse. And it is enough violence. Including for you.
I am here to play and to experience, to love being alive and to breathe every moment of life as if it is the most delicious fresh air each and every time. I love to surf because it brings me balance. I love building a strong and healthy body. I love living on a Brazilian island because it holds me and helps me breathe. I created this life for myself because it is what I want. It is what brings me the closest to my heart.
Nothing in life happens without doing. Nothing in life happens without using the energy that I have available. And yet, it is a dance of using my life energy to create and learning to treat myself with care. If I create in alignment with my bodies I have more energy in the end of the day than I started with. So I do things that are nourishing for all parts of my and my life. And that is how I want to live.
